IVF entails the fusion of a woman's egg and a man's sperm in a controlled laboratory setting, bypassing the need for conception within the woman's body.
When couples face challenges in conceiving with their own germ cells, the breakthrough solution lies in utilizing donated eggs and sperm from carefully selected anonymous donors for IVF procedures.
Egg and sperm donation in the Czech Republic is legally regulated and closely monitored by state authorities. Egg donors, aged 18-35, and sperm donors, aged 18-40, undergo comprehensive medical examinations to ensure their physical and mental well-being. These examinations include genetic testing to reduce the likelihood of certain genetic abnormalities, as well as tests for sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis, and chlamydia).
Our experienced doctors meticulously select suitable egg and sperm donors based on a jointly completed questionnaire. You will receive non-identifying information about the donor(s), preserving their anonymity while providing details such as age, appearance, blood group, and interests. Donations remain anonymous, and even when a child reaches the age of 18, they have no legal right to learn the identity of the sperm or egg donor.
Egg and sperm donors receive compensation for reasonable expenses associated with their donation.
Without the need for anesthesia, the transfer of the embryo or embryos into the uterus is skillfully accomplished using a thin, flexible catheter (tube) guided by ultrasound for accurate positioning.
Rest assured, the transfer process is entirely painless.
The embryos are gently introduced into the uterine cavity, accompanied by a small amount of liquid known as culture medium.
Following the procedure, a brief rest period of approximately 10-15 minutes is advised, after which you will be discharged from the clinic.
Donors typically fall within the age range of 20-30. Czech laws permit women up to the age of 35 to donate their eggs. However, we also have experienced donors over the age of 30 who have already achieved successful donations, resulting in pregnancies or the birth of healthy children. These exceptional donors continue to contribute even after reaching the age of 30.
